Clara Guilbeau 
 

Clara Guilbeau is a native of Japan, and started piano lessons at age 3, violin lessons at age 10. She comes from a musical family who introduced her to different types of music and musical instruments along with piano. She also took ballet lessons at age 5 and continued dancing until she graduated from college.

 

Clara studied piano performance and dance at Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor of Music degree. She continued to take private lessons with Professor Michael Gurt for two years after her graduation. While at LSU, she studied piano with Dr. Willis Delony and Professor Michael Gurt. 

 

Clara has been teaching piano privately since 2008 and students from her studio have had successes at State Rally, BRMTA Romantic and Contemporary Tournament, and Baroque & Classical Contest. She is an active member of national, state, and local music teacher's associations.  

 

She enjoys sharing the joys and passions of piano with members of the Baton Rouge Community. She continues to organize benefits and recitals at a local retirement home.

She is currently working towards Music Teachers National Association Certification.
